We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stewards Lead to oversee the stewarding team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. This leadership role involves supervising dishwashing operations, managing cleaning schedules, and supporting the kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train stewarding staff to ensure cleaning and sanitation standards are met
- Monitor dishwashing operations and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate cleaning schedules
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new stewarding staff as needed
- Ensure kitchen workstations and storage areas are clean, organized, and functioning efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Steward Lead or in a supervisory role in kitchen operations
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lift heavy items and handle physically demanding tasks
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
